Well... as the title says really. Have you (Polished Bliss) heard of this guy? I'd expect you have. What are your views on his prices and attention to detail...

Exactly, the cars he is cleaning the owners have money to burn.
He mentions an enzo, that alot to buy, tax is £1/4 million or something silly, then you have insurance etc etc! So cleaning it every six months wouldn't be too big a financial problem!

its a joke, they get business for the fact people with money think its a novelty to use him as he only does good cars they think oh that means he will do mine "im good" if he was just a very good washer then he would wash any car that he got a request for if they have the money why turn it down, some things are pathetic, 7k to wash a car is ridiculous, even a car worth 50k 7k is a waste of money

He gets business because he uses the best products on the cars. We're not talking Meguires rubbish here, if you watch the video he says how expensive it all is.

Its a chenile sponge he's using with a grit guard in the bucket, plus on the car in that particlar video article it had already been prepped so he was basically washing an already clean car.
There's been many discussions about Paul on the detailingworld forums and we've all come to the conclusion that yes, what he is charging is a hell of alot of money for what is basically the same Detailing Process and methods that myself and Rich @ Polished Bliss practice on a daily basis, but he's in the right area of the country to be able to charge such high prices, and hats off to him for doing it i say. No one is forcing the owners of these cars to pay him to do their cars, and its only on the odd ocassion that he carries out the full £5,000 detail as his agent pointed out on the detailing forum.
Just my 2 pence worth :afro:

Lol. Paul Dalton is a great detailer, as are people like Dave Bowerman, who charges £50 an hour for practically identical work using identical products, and Clark, who charges just £20 an hour, uses cheaper but (in my opinion) no lesser quality products and gets finishes that still blow customers away every time. Once we are in the unit we may offer high end product details for more money, but even so the prices will still be in the realms of reality. However, if some people who can afford to lash £100k+ on cars want to pay thousands to keep them mint, well, why not? No different to paying thousands for a pair of designer jeans or a posh hooker if you think about it. :P

i dont think any car in the world even an enzo deserves a car wash that costs that much. when it comes down to it, he is a very clever salesman charging those prices to people who can afford it and dont know any better. as for the "stressing how much his products cost" it isnt really a factor to consider unless you are into the concours level of detailing. say what you want, if there are people willing to pay that price then there will be people who know how to get that money from them and he is one of them. i still question his detailing methods like others have mentioned.
