people say they can't insure me on a mk1 vts because im only 20 and i no people on here have a vts and younger than me wat insurance company are you with?

I'm not picking at you Landy, but haven't you been banned and still got points on your licence?

I was thinking thats why? Have you tried Elephant? I can get insured on a MK2 VTS with them for £2,400 full comp.

Im 20 and I got my 52 plate vts with elephant.co.uk for £1058 fully comp

about £600 for me on a VTS... still wouldnt though.

Landy as luke says i think your driving record is going to the be issue.

Driving record will always be an issue for 5 years (I think it is).

Hope ya wont minf the thread hijack but i was planning on getting a VTS at 20/21. With a crash on my license im guessing im fudged now till im 22/23?

It's not guaranteed mate. A lot of it still goes on your area etc, but I reckon it's probably just bumped your insurance up a bit.

That's pretty daft then if you can't get insured when some of us are getting quotes/insured on a VTS.

Have you tried Elephant? Admiral? Quinn Direct?

what about confused.com, i tried them on mine and it was too much but then i tried it on a Lambo and they quoted me just under the price of the car.

if you try with them it will give you a price no matter what but it could be sky high

Landy that is proper weird with the insurance thingy... I'm presuming they might still be aware of your conviction/ban thingy - im only guessing.

Yeah a brand new one too... stuck in the details... traller-traller-la.. £2k fully comp... still wouldnt pay 2k for insurance.
Also wouldnt buy a lambo.

yes but thats on your mum so if its 1600 or what ever on a vts why not get it?

Its ghey, iv been offered a cheap arse C2VTR but cant for the love of me get insured on it.

try HIC or brentacre mate if they'll insure my mate (whos 19) on a tuned golf g60 rallye they should be able to insure you on a vts
