Right,

I came into work yesterday looked out of the window and it looked like only one part of my door was wet and like covered in spray (like from the motorway). all the rest of the car was dry. It had been raining but the blast on the motorway had dryed it off.

Anyway, i didnt think anything of it and go for a look at lunch, now all the car is wet with the rain. I wipe down around one door and it looks like dirty water had set on my new panted door like wet car polish, A white water marks. I Ttried to rub off with a Microfibre towel but it didnt do anything.

Went back into work and worked the afternoon. I then go out to the car from work and look and everything is fine.

Now all the same has happend again this morning. apart from the pas side door isnt as bad as it was yesterday.

Heres a few thing, The paint still feels a little soft from the repsray as it was done less than a week ago.

Do you think its just dirty from the bodyshop.....I had simular dirty marks on my roof after i got the car back?

Do you think its just polish/wax then water is sitting on funny?

Why cant i rub it off when its dry? well i say dry i mean wiped with my hand. The paint will still be wet id you get me?

How come when the weather is fine i dont see the marks?

I know its hard to understand. The bodyshop i took it to are good and will sort it no problem but i duno if im just been a noob and if its becuase of the above reasons dont want to bova him as he is a busy guy.

Do you think a good wash, polish and wax will help get the water off the panels to prevent the issue.

Any advise is gud ya....

is it like white water marks? if so i had this problem when i sprayed my grille myself, it only appeared after a wet or damp day/nite. I couldn't rub it off or polish it out. So i took it to the body shop, then they explained that it was were moisture had got between the layers of paint.
If thats the case take it back to the place u had it done.

I know how u feel tho, my grille looked great when it was completly dry, but wank when i got wet

Like i was saying. The paint still feels soft. so maybe once its hardend it will resolve the issue?

Well i even tried a good abrasive to try n take the clear coat i did off cos i thought it was that but that didn't even wk, but then again my paint was rock solid. But if u had a body shop do it then take it back straight away.
I put up with it for a couple of months cos in the summer i got away with it, but now its been dont properly it looks the nuts!

Well today it was just as bad after i spent time cleaning it. So about 6 i text my mate saying i had a problem, Next thing he old man asked to come pick the car up to fix it tonight. I was just going out so dropped it off at his house then he went up to the bodyshop. Hes dropping it back off shortly.

Hopefully all will be good.

sounds like the correct amount or hardeners or thinners hasnt been mixed properly id say your going to be stuck with it! if its going cloudy take it back to them and get them to use g3 compound on it,sounds suspiciously like a bit of a quick spray job im afraid,i could be wrong, you got any pics?

He seems to think the primer went down on a bit of moisture from the metal plate hes put in the door.

Was very cold with morning today but condensation on doors but no marks were left :) which is a good sign so far, Guy will sort it regardless shes a sound bloke and seems a genuine bloke.
