Depends on what you would want mate, The VTS power or the extra cash in your back pocket.

i love the kick its got dont get me wrong but i often find myself thinking, do i really need this!?!
do i need to go fast. iv been sitting at pretty much 60 everywhere lately, to get a feel of furio stylee and it really doesnt bother me, just nice to know the ooomphs there if needed!

You would feel the different so much if you dropped, not just be because you can go faster,

I Prefer it for climbing steep hills doesnt seem to struggle at all where the furio lacked, also with a boot full, or car full of people the vts just seems to keep going.

Stick with it mate. :P

You know what I'll say don't you mark!?

FURIO!!! :P

No seriously, I thought you was mad for spending 2500£ or what ever it is to insure a VTS. But not to rub salt in the wounds, in feb when my years up I can get insurance on a VTS for less than a grand fully comp but I'm not going to! :A:

Basicaly I see my car as a beast, it looks good and I don't want it fast. I cruise along so no need for a VTS me thinks. :P

It's up to you really. It depends on what you need really

I'm paying £389 fully comp for the VTR at the moment. It's £521 fully comp on a VTS. I just thought to myself "Do I really need a VTS?". I'm a student so I decided I needed the £200 more. The VTR insurance is just going to get cheaper.

I was going to upgrade when I left uni but now I'm getting a mortgage instead and the VTR is just so cheap to run. 100miles to a tenner of petrol and cheap insurance is for winners

age plays a factor, soon as i got me liscence i wanted the FASTEST car wasnt to bothered if it ended up been a clean tuned up nova over a 1.1 corsa (new) gone from a 1.4-1.6- 1.4 - 2ltr all been upgraded every time performance wise, but just lately been thiking about something fast reliable and good mpg, like a golf gt tdi, dont go out in mine or cruises anymore basically hardly anyone does any more - growin up spendin money wisely rather be out clubbin than out in a car park ect but ill always want something with power or speed i can use at certain points

come on, you love your VTS, can you see yourself enjoying a Furio in the same way. even though mine is a 1.1 come take that out for a spin, see if you like the drop in power. personally i don't think that you will, but the offer is there if you want to take her out and about for a drive.

£2500 insurance?

£1617 for a VTR is ALOT worse then £2500 on a VTS, considering a vts is double (i think!?) the insurance group.

You may not need the power of the vts, but either way... downgrading in any situation will leave you feeling empty, be it a mobile phone, a car, a sound system... downgrading will just leave you feeling a bit... empty. BUT if you need to do it then you probley wont feel empty, probley feel sensible. Id say if you need to, do it.. if not.. dont fix what isnt broken

Plus if you downgrade you will need to change to FurioKid lol

i do love my vts but now i have points (3 sp50) my insurance will go up from 2200 to 2900 and i really dont wanna be paying it!the furio was 750 F/C so think ill get a quote on a vtr and see what thats like!
im 19 so its not like ill not get the chance to own another......... hopefully!

VTR's are poo. neither extraordinarily better or cheap to insure compared with the rest of the range.

Get the furio. save up those ncb's then buy something special a little later.

your mad for paying that much on insurance
get a vtr or furio if the performance wont bother you

Jeez the amount some of you guys are paying for insurance. You all need to ask yourself 'Is it worth it, Really?'

vtskid, you could buy a new VTS every year on that kind of a premium! I would seriously consider getting a furio or even a 1.1 for a year.

The Furio would be more economical for you and still, the Furio is pretty poky.

Exactly! It's still only a saxo at the end of the day. (I love Saxo's so I'm not slagging them off. lol) To pay that amount is extortionate. I'm 21 and to insure a TVR Tamora is £1400 fully comp and I still think that is too much to pay on insurance. lol

insurance cripples all young drivers though, well those of us that pay it, but at the time its what i wanted.
as long as i budget, which i do very well, then moneys okayish but just thinking if i did go lower (ie 1.4) then id be able to spunk more cash on the car and pay a grand for the rims i like!
still unsure but will seriously think about changing when its due (january).
