Is just around the corner. Just wondering how you keep your car tip top. Do you use anything special to keep the paintwork and wheels in good cond.
Cheers guys

Think about using a sealant to keep it protected.

What if your parents have converted the garage into a bedroom and it's constantly raining? :(

let it get as dirty as possible
The mud will act like a barrier against the elements.

Keeping on top of it is the key. If not then it all builds up and its a bitch to clean when summer rolls over.
The use of different products is useful in winter months.
Things such as a more durable wax, such as collinite 476, is recommended.
Getting a good coat of wax and sealant on all the wheels, and body work is essential otherwise as this will be the hardest thing to do in winter without a garage.

This is a good topic.
Can people start naming products that will work to protect the car, eg. the sealant.

theres a mint carwash near me, you park your car on a circle and its spins round while you wash it. doesnt spin fast like, but it aint slow.

Quick guide to winter - get the car properly done soon, then concentrate on just a regular wash and occasional top up of the last step product through the winter. A great basecoat product that will deep cleanse, lightly polish and lay down a tough initial coat of acrylic protection is Jeffs Werkstatt Prime Acrylic. Over this you can layer further coats of sealants or waxes. For winter I like Menzerna FMJ over Prime Acrylic - we used this on our C2 last winter and the level of protection was excellent; two coats in October saw it through to Xmas, then a further two coats saw it through to March. If you prefer waxes then Natty's by Poorboys is good, but will need topping up more often, say every 4-6 weeks for maximum protection. In my book, sealants are a better way to go for winter protection. The Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic range is awesome in this respect too, and next month our special offer will be the whole acrylic kit (inc. pads and towels). Keep your eyes peeled! :)
