alrite i have recently bought a 1.1i P reg white saxo. I dont really want to buy a full body kit cos i dont have the money plus it will jus slow down my Dyson hoover engine to be even slower. I want to do simple cheap mods like adding front and back splitters, spoiler and possibly even colour coding the plastic strips along side of car and on bumbers and also may hoy sum sideskirts on.

i havnt really thought of any other mods to do but i also have the problem of my damn 3 stud wheels.

any help will be welcome as i really want to get away from my standardness. Any pics would be great to show me 1.1i's which hav been modded.

cheers

Hya. If you wanna start up on modding just get the basics like you said makes a whole lot of difference! Have a look at my old saxo up on the your cars bit and you can see what difference some: Alloys, spoiler, lowering springs and light brows make on your car!

There are places that do 3 stud alloys, just look at max power or one of those, sometimes they have a note saying they do them...

this probly ain't much help but i was going to start modding my 1.1 with some alloys and stuff. but it worked out cheaper on the whole for me to get a VTR. i know they're just standard alloys and standard vtr bodykit. but u do get the 1.6 aswell.

it would've been £170 more on insurance for alloys on my 1.1 and it was only £150 more for the vtr. so i sold my 1.1 and took the money i was gonna spend on allys and bought one. and finding it a much better car. 2 years newer than the 1.1 i sold aswell.

iv got a mk2 2002 1.1 in black, just got new alloys, windows tinted and dun some interior mods.

little touches like colour coding the centre console and vents, new dials, handbrake, gear surround and sum nice mats can make alot of difference to the inside of the car and they are cheap to do.

alloys are a gud starting point and then you can follow that up with tints or on the performance side, induction kit and new exhaust/back box. other exterior mods such as new aerial, fuel cap and painting the front calipers are cheap and easy to do, but give a great effect.

Hi mate, im in the same boat, i bought all the RGM front/back/sideskirts costing around £200 then fitted them myselves(really easy!)

Do small DIY jobs smileys/smiley16.gif

My car pics at the moment(still got to be sprayed) at www.fotki.com/AdamParker

Also colour coding the bumper looks good even though i havent done it! Dont get Alloys without lowering, looks like a tank!
