mirror caps

ive got a set in the process of being sprayed and i was curious how other people would/have stuck theres on as i cannot use the clips as my mirrors do not have the hole for them?
just a bit of silicone?tiger seal?

Think my step dad used silicone and plastic glue. Glue in the middle and silicone around the edges (if that makes sense? :P)
