Rear Screen Heating Switch... Look !!

Hey Ppl,

I have a 1998 saxo VTS 16v, On the centre dash where the switches are, there is a rear screen heatin switch missing, apparently there are two types -

- Timed 1, it will switch off after so long.

- Normal one, it will switch on onced pushed, an switched off when pushed.

My question is, which is the right one for the car ?

i have a saxo VTR 1999 The light doesnt work on mine, so i dont know when its on or off, but you do push it to turn on, then push it again to turn off. On mine at least u do anyway

Never heard off one which is on timer. Think it would be cool though

if it would turn off once the windows have heated and unsteamed, if u like, ye it would be cool. But turning off whilst its in the middle of unsteaming? That would suck :p

i think the timer one is in mk 2's, it switches off after about 10 minutes

i need to get a new switch as i dont think mine works :sad:

yeah i have a mk.2 VTR and its on a timer, which is quite cool.

Im guessing its not the actual switch that is timed is it, if it is does that mean its a direct swap for a mk1 one?

on my saxo 1.1 1998 my switch turns its self off after 12 minutes
