im fed up with norton now its slowing my pc down like a trooper and i hate it, does anyone no of any good free download ones that i can replace norton with. leckie pls help if you could i no you are a pc wize.

Im with tobster on this one... Norton is solely responsible for my machine running like turd.
I rebuilt my comp last week and it was running proper bo until i installed Norton.

Norton seems good but can it really outperform some free thing?

^ trust us, the only way to tell is to try it out but i and many others have never had a problem with it.

because they have a more advanced progmram that cost. That program runs along with nortan if you get me.

The free one is for general AV protection. No adware is installed.

problem is my Hard drive contains my all uni work (and a bit of porn)... if some fucked up virus wiggled its way on to it then I would be in the SHIT big time... hence why im a little concerned about going to a free antivirus.

Daily checks for updates

they prob make money from advertisement on their site;
they also sell a Premium package but the free version is good enough.

if you important files you should always back up anyway. No AV can protect a dodgy harddrive. ;)

thats why i have to internal HDD's so one had windows and the other all my work. you may wanna give an external HDD a try as theyre going cheap these days. i have to re-install my wank windows as i have got a virus thats fucked up my OS so happy days!
