Gf's mum got one on a 1999. It's poo! The interior is cramped, it's slow, can't get the arse out because of the bloody electronics and it's all abit naff looking inside.
Bloody marvelous gearbox though!

ive just been looking at the 0-60 time of the Z3 1.9 litre and it is just over 8 seconds which isnt too bad but not as quick as a VTS ;)

Its a sporty equivelent of a rover 75 for old people, the lines are all wrong the cabs too far back and theyre underpowered. imo

I think the z3 was one of BMW's worst cars. depends what your dad is after really.
I take it soft-top is a priority?

do you reckon the Z3 is awful then? have you driven one pal?
i really dont think he knows what he ia after lol all he knows is that he wants a soft-top a bit :homme: i know but its what the man wants!!
what do you think of the toyota mr2 roadster?

sorry man I worded that wrongly... I seem to remember a lot of reports around the time of the release of the car stating that BMW had cocked it up royally.
The only soft-top that cuts with me is the Audi A4 or Volvo (something). Obviously a bit bigger than a z3 so that was a bit pointless.
S2000 perhaps?
That'd be my favorite for that sort of sized vehicle.
I think they did very well in the JDPower survey.
Good reliablilty
Good dynamics
Drivers pleased by it etc.
