I was paying 600 per year when I just turned 18 on my fathers insurance.

C3 on mothers policy when i was 17 was about 600 fully comp..

mine was 575 fully comp at 18 with 0 years experience with kwik fit in mums name

but wouldnt you rather get your own no claims instead of getting from mummy and daddy. shoot me if im wrong but its your car so shouldnt you be the main driver?????

for extra £800 which some people may not have! i would rather go in my own name! So i did £1458 fully comp 18 year old... 0ncb! still going to be expensive when you do go under your own name.... got to start somewhere.... unless your mammy and FATHER lol are going to have you in there name forever!

ive just gone with cis there the only company that are around that will let you drive another car 3rd party if you go fully comp if your under 25

oooh mine was 305 with cis fully comp as a named driver on my dads but i also build up my ncb aswell... own insurance next year though i think!

I was at college at the time with a part time job; didnt fancy forking out over a grand for insurance.
Thought it'd be sensible at the time.
Now I have a full time job, I have a VTS in my own name.
