Started the clean today ready for the winter, didn't get finished as the light went but heres a few pics from the progress...got a lot left to do.

So far have
cleaned rims not properly just a little clean
Washed - 2 buckets megs nxt gen shampoo and megs lambswool wash mitt
Clayed
Washed again - same process as above
Dried using water magnet which I think is crap.
Menzerna Intensive polished the top half of car and bonnet
Megs Tech wax the top half of the car

Could have spent the time polishing the whole car but it meant I would have left it unprotected with no wax so thats why only the top half is polished and waxed

Some pics...mind most were in the fading light so aren't that good

Need to have another go at the swirls with the menzerna at somepoint...

Not my best results think it was too cold or something but it will do for now...

Need to get the wheels off and the arches and wheels properly cleaned and the rest of the car polished waxed and all trims and glass doing

nice one! removing swirls by hand will be difficult but there's definitely a good deep shine going on there :)

what did you find crap about the water magnet?

I use the PB Waffle Weave drying towels as they are more absorbant but used water magnets for months before hand, and found them to be pretty good, did u wipe the car dry or pat dry it? the latter is a far more effective method of drying the car :)

patted it dry as didnt want to possibly inflict more swirls...just found it didnt get that much water up went over the same patches loads of times ended up getting the rest off with one of the yellow deluxe mf towels...maybe it was because it was so cold?

will be getting some of the waffle weave ones after winter along with some more goodies ;)

Looks like a good first effort to me with the Intensive Polish - keep at it! The towel issue was probably due to the cold - bugger all you can do about that at this time of year (and through the winter for that matter). :)
