There's a link in the bottom left corner of every page in the forums, which explains how to use the vB code.
To post a link use the [url] tag, and to post an image use the [img] tag. The forum will even guide you through the process if you need help:
http://www.saxperience.com/forum/images/editor/createlink.gif Click the "Insert Link" button and you will be asked questions about the page you want to link to.
http://www.saxperience.com/forum/images/editor/insertimage.gif The "Insert Image" button does the same for images.
There are many more buttons but I'll leave that for you to figure out.
For the brave, there's also the [noparse] tag, which you can use to good effect when explaining the tags.
e.g. Saxperience - Citroen Saxo Forum (http://www.saxperience.com/forum)
