Hi everyone i jus got my new clutch fitted today. Everything was sweet on the way home i drove the car quite fast as my old clutch was slipping like all the time, so was nice 2 drive the car normally! but i didnt red line it or anything. I pulled into my driveway and my gearbox suddenly went all floppy. I couldnt get into a gear and the gearstick now jus wobbles between 3rd and 5th gear freely on its own. It feels like summins come undone. The gearstick will not move left or right jus freely travels up and down wivout engaging the gear. I turned the engine off, then on again and it stalled. The car seems 2 be locked in 1st or second gear even though the gearstick is in neutral. Im taking it to the garage 2moz but its quite a way 2 go in just 1st gear! Any suggestions wat it could be?? rep avaliable

cheers Rob

hi my gear stick went all floppy and wouldnt go into gear, it was a little rubber ball had fallen off the selecter at the back of the gearbox cost £27.00 from citroen and took me half an hour to fit, now all is fine.

to check the selecter just jack it up. from the drivers side and then go under the car from the front, look to the right hand side and up of the exhust where the middle section joins the front pipes there should be like a ball joint there. check that it hasn't come apart. could try oiling it aswell.
