I was kind of wondering...How do you guys remember the peddles?, i know i'm again paranoid about all the stuff there is to learn about driving...But how do you remember which peddle is which...I know theres only three of them but to me thats mind boggling trying to solve which peddles which

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Think alphabet...

ABC

except the other way round.

A = Accelerator
B = Brake
C = Clutch

Have started driving yet? dont worry if not with a bit of practice you'll soon pick it up :) (it comes naturally after i while :)

Have you started lessons yet?

Usally all comes to people within the first few hours. Once you get it into your head you wont forget it.

i used to worry about that before i started drivin but to be honest once you start driving and you go out on your own you dont even think about it, but if you worried use the ABC method!!! i havent heard of that before but sounds good!!!

oh and dont try left foot braking, thats brown pants material.

oh and dont try left foot braking, thats brown pants material.

always a good way to scare your mates.

Once you start driving you'll be fine. Even if you go and sit in your parents car and just go back and forward on the drive. Helps with clutch control adn helps teach were the peddles are!

the alphabet is the most common way to remember them.

Other thing you could do is try remembering that the go faster peddle is always near the door. :D: (but then that can still leave you tring to remember which of the other 2 is which)

Other thing is always remember there should be a pedal inbetween both your feet when changing gear perhaps.

I remember when i first started driving i was sooooooooooooooooooooooo scared. But dont worry, your instructor is there to help you and they have peddles their side of the car too incase you do make a mistake.

All you can do is your best, if you get it wrong once or twice so what. Do not let it phase you or knock your confidence. Even the best drivers/learners make mistakes. :D:

I was trying that out in MK in the beast of a fiesta my girlfriend has. Usefull way of keeping th gas planted on roundabouts. New brake pads please :)

Everything like pedel locations will come fairly quick, it just does :)

The clutch is always nearest the gear stick, the most important pedal is in the middle, thats the break and the accelerator is nearest the door in case you want a quick getaway. thats always how i remembered it but as soon as you have done it a bit you won't forget. when i was learning to drive and was a passenger in my mums car i used to imagine that it was me driving even down to checking my mirrors and doing the signals (all pretend mind you) my mum used to laugh at me but it helped me out quite a bit.

Left foot braking is the dogs.....

i remember trying it once, just to see what it was like and it scared the life out of me. seemed to hit the pedal so much harder than i do with my right foot and it completely put me off balance. its a really horrible feeling.
