For that kid of money mate you could get a hell of a lot better. Remember you listen to audio not look at it 99% of the time.
Heres my advice
Spend less on a headunit. Theres no point spending over £400 unless your runing a very high end system.
Components. Go with a dedicated speaker specalist such as DLS, Focal, Seas, Morel. These guys spend a hell of a lot of time and money to make speakers for car use.
Pioneer SPL subs I would not touch with a barge pole

Right I have been thiking hard about this over night and this morning heres what I would spend £2000 on
Amps
DLS A3 (2 channel amp) £600
DLS A6 (Mono amp) £500
Focal 165K3P - 16.5cm 3-way components £650
JL Audio 10W6v2- 10" subwoofer £300
I have heard all these products exept the Focal components but I have heard and installed the 2 way K2P version in a mates car. I also know of a lad thats a UK sound off champion that changed from the top of the range Focal Utopia speakers to the next range down K2P for some reason! If your installing yourself and fancy havig a go with fibreglass then you might aswell fit 3 ways. That you you will have a clearer treble up front.
DLS amps have plenty of power and great SQ. Normally I would have gone for Genesis amps but here mono is over twice the price of the DLS A6!
The JL W6 is proven its been around for a good few years now. I prefer them over the w7 as the voice coil configuration is easier to work with them the w7s odd 3ohm single voice coil. The w6 performs just as well as the w7 till you get to silly volume levels. That you will never need to do anyway. I must admit though I also considered the Diamond Audio M6 sub over this. I had the older m5 it sounded awesome. If space is an issue go for the Diamond over the w6 as it works a lot better in a smaller enclosure.
Yeah I know I have gone £50 over the budget but I may be able to get round that for you!

thanks a lot dave i will have to buy it bit by bit but i think i will go for that the amps look tasty as well i think i will go for the k2p focals as i i will be doing the door build myself and think it will be a lot easer to do with only the one speaker and tweeter. and then i will save 200 pounds as well but thanks a lot for that dave i will let u know how i get on with buying the stuff lol may take me a few months but it will be worth it ...

DaveWard

For that price range I personally think that the JL or Diamond is better then the Focal.
If your making speaker builds its realy no harder to make them for 3 ways then it is for 2 way. I just means cutting another mdf ring.
Heres some pics of 3 ways in a Saxo
My old one

I wish I could mate. Will at CarworX made me them builds before CarworX started up.
I aint had time to try fibreglassing yet but I am going to give it a go over the next few months as I have just got together the parts for an install in my girlfrineds Seat Arosa. I even bought a set of door cards for it to work on. Once I have dont them I am going to do the boot build. It wont be flash but it will be practical and sound good.
