Hey Peeps...help me out here

Ok the situation is:
I have been seein a lovely lass the last couple of weeks...been gettin on great...the sex is awesome etc etc...
We had a good valentines day after i shook off the other interest ( smileys/smiley9.gif )
I really like her but 6 months ago i split with my ex of 5 1/2 years, and with valentines day just passed etc ive been kinda thinkin about her / missin her and shit..well we did spend 5 valentines days together and it was always kinda special...but im feelin a bit guilty about missin her and the current g/f not knowin how im feelin....so help me out!!
We hadnt spoke for 5 months cos i was in a bit of a state when we split....as the "hardcore" on here know all too well..and she told me not to contact her again.
Well i gave into temptation this morning & sent her a wee text to see how she was gettin on.

At the end of the day mate as u said u spent along time wiv ur ex and by the sound of wot u r sayin u loved her, i think if u have loved sumat 1 u never forget them, best thing to do is just get on wiv ur life and if u keep seein this lass more and more u will get to really like her and then wen it come to special days she will be the one u think of, so my advise is stick it out it just takes time u know??

yer u just have to work through it mate, i really loved this girl about a year ago and am still not totally over her, she just seemed perfect, so it normal mate as i say just stick at it, if u like this new girl it aint worth riskin loosin her over sumone u used to go out wiv, aspecially if theres no chance for u gettin bak wiv her!!

Well, if ur old gf is that special, then stay in contact, but tell ur new gf about it or if she sees u w/ur old gf she'll get really pissed off @ u. But if u think ur new gf wouldn't understand about it and would leave u for sayin it, then mayb she isnt good for u, well, this is all just a hunch m8,so id get a few more opinions goin b4 actually doin nethin about it

At the end of the day you can't exactly help ur feelings... It is going to take time for you to forget your ex, and you are going to fall into temptation sometimes and want to contact her again.

If you dont want to give up on her then try again, you never know, but if you think there's no chance than there's no point in suffering so much, just try and enjoy ur life with ur new girl and try to think of all the good time you can have with her now.

I know how hard it is cause me and David if we broke up for a bit, we had some problems and it was a nightmare, I couldn't stop thinking bout him and I was VERY upset smileys/smiley19.gif .

If we broke up for good I'd ask him not to contact me again as well, because I wouldn't be able to be his friend, be able to stay by his side without getting close to him. Is that why she asked you that, because she couldn't be ur friend only?
