Would the saxo designers be pleased to see such following? i.e SAXP SSC
...or would they be pissed off that a group of people feel that it needed changing from the original spec? i.e SAXP SSC and Cloud.
discuss
(ps sorry if already asked :oops)

i think theyd (saxo designers, citroen bosses, etc) would be glad to see we take such pride etc in our cars even though "its only a saxo"

id say theyre pleased that its got a cult following, it shows their car is popular and well loved if someone takes the time to build a website and people sign up to it

I bet someone for citreon scans these forums, see how people mod their cars and take note when building new models, i.e the c2
EDIT+ r&d research and development thats the word (s)

i think they would appreciate that we all have them..
i doubt it would realy bother them with what people such as danny, leckie, matt etc are doing.. but maybe with all the people who have put massively hideous kits on.. lol

just makes you wish that the big bosses would look at this forum, and see all the saxo's around then think "LETS BRING BACK THE SAXO, the amount we sold has made us loads of money so why did we have to stop!!!"

i think seeing the standard cars turned into all these on here will only inspire them to make something much better.
but they would obviously f*ck it up and make that something look like a C2.

a dont think citroen even made much money with the saxo.
only young people bought them, and most were bought second hand.
older women and men, aswell as young people drive corsas.

I reckon to design something that; other than the fact is french, is good looking, quick, fun to drive and REASONABLY reliable is always something good to look back on.
The fact that the Saxo became the Nova of the late 90's might taint the image a bit, but I don't think it does. Look at the amount of companies that have brought out after-market parts for the Saxo. Now, either they'd look at that and think 'Were our parts not good enough then!?' or they'd be flattered that people are basing THEIR car on a product.
The Saxo modding scene has, imo, gone full circle. Just look at the amount of people that crave the refined standard look nowadays. Standard yet subtle. Sure, people still put a Skyline cone filter on with a 6" can but hey! They're doing what THEY want to do cos it's THEIR car! I can respect that. The Saxo has sparked many a creative thought from me and other enthusiasts; what do you think Mr. Saxo designer would say to Willsy's customs indicators! He'd think 'SHIT I WISH I THOUGHT OF THAT'
Excuse the verbal diahorrea, but fundamentally I don't think they'd be pissed, they'd be happy their design is timeless.

I think they wouldn't even be looking in the first place. Boy racers (lets face it, you mod a car you are steriotyped) don't buy saxo's (or other) brandnew to mod, they buy them later down the line, so the citreon have already sold the car and thats all they care about.

They won't be able to release a car what even resembles the saxo in future.. health and safety blah blah..If you notice on most new cars the bonnets are really high up etc.. Really gutting but life goes on.
I'd like to think they would do something like clio did with the V8... now that would rock my socks.. even knowing i couldent own one the envy would be immense.

Another thing, they will probley HATE the fact saxos have been modded up etc, as it gives the boyracer image thus making insurance more thus probley making a massive drop in sales....

They went to cruises to research the C2, which is probably part of the reason its a bit pap, so yes, they probably do like us. a bit

nah,n they were all after making it for the boy racer, 17s as standard, padel shift, Mynistry of sound special edition. If they'd asked me I'd have said the same, better built, more oversteer and work on the insurance companies, please

ads. are you hoping they build more 5-door diesels?
designers just follow trends and copy popular cars. hence saxo/106 being so similiar.

I would of thought they would be quite happy to see the following it get on Saxperience and on SSC.
In my opinion the saxo vtr/s will be like the pug 205 gti's are now.

I think they should make a new saxo looking virtually the same but.. lol that doesnt rattle & is safe, I love my car but i know if i crash thats it do not pass go dont collect 200 quids i will be dead. The rattling is almost unbearable yet i still love this car!
CITROEN BOSSES Make a new saxo! Only make it safer and better interior then you will make some ££££££ who wouldnt buy a new saxo???

Jamie

Yep Amen to that! They would make so much money on them and people would be safer! I can say i would definatly put my name down for a new saxo if they made one! C2 is not a good enough replacement. IMO lol
