......watched the local news tonight?? there's a ban of all cruises in Notts. If 5 or more cars are "seen, driving in covoy, racing, or just meeting with their cars" they could face prison sentences and have your cars impounded!! i think thats well harsh, stopped going down Notts nearly 2 years ago, but still think this is well ott!

Rubbish there is no proper legal grounds that allows them to inpound your car if you are parked up correctly/legally in a carpark. Neither is there any form of law for which you can get arrested for it.

They can move you on if you're causing problems but aside from that Its just a threat, nothing they can do about it

it showed pics last night on the news of them towing away an impreza after loading it onto the back of a truck!! and the owner going barmy at the copper! so i think its more than a threat! lol

mfn is legal though, it's on private property.

i knew they were clamping down in nottingham. i stopped going over there a while back as it was just getting silly. didn't know they had bought this out though. can't believe that they can do it!!

If someone is trying to tow your car away get in it, its illegal for them to take it away then! Was watching it on TV lol

i used to take the missus down to the Pagoda chinese resturant right on broadmarsh, but now, im driving a modified car, and all this has kicked off, i don't wanna take her anymore lol!

(so if you wanna go babe, we'll go in yours :thumbup: )

Theres no way if you were there parked legally and not being a nuisance that they could just turn up and say right were having ur car.

There is no law written by the government that allows them to do it. It cant happen. Wouldnt surprise me if the clip of the Impreza was a setup for the cameras

Surley you cant get sent to prison for driving about, redardless of who is driving behind, to the side or in front of you
And surley you can get put in prision for parking up in a car park and chatting to a few people

WTF how can they be allowed to do that? we cant stop kids congregating in parks, but police can fine us for using roads WE pay for, not breaking any law apart from having FRIENDS, what a joke.

ahaha like its gonna stop anywhere in the uk, the police need to go and solve some real crimes, my dad and both the other directors here at work were all in the west mids police, they were drug squad and me dads mate was a traffic cop and they all think its daft and they should focus on better things
