That a truck is limited to 56mph!!
I say this because im a truck driver and ive had many ppl behind me flashing there lights n stuff to try n make me speed up!! so obviously they dont know that im limited to 56mph!! do they really think that i wanna sit there at 56mph lol..
Its same on country roads, it may be national speed limit for a car but for a truck on a single carrige way road its 40mph and yet you still get ppl coming up behind you flashing there lights!!
Just curious on how many ppl know or didnt know..

yeah i know, 7.5 tonners aint, 12 tonners are about 60mp n the likes of artics are around 56mph, i think it depends on the mood of the guy who sets the limiter in the factory lol

So if thats the case why do they pull out into the middle lane at 6pm when its rush hour trafic and cause slowness just to get one space in front of the next lorry. Pointless. I have lots of respect for them as i do anyone else on the road but that annoys me.

Well not all limiters are set to the same speed, and if im quicker than the lorry in front i will over take it, would you sit behind a truck and look at its rear doors all day?? you can only read the sign wrighting once you know and then it gets quite boring :P
theres always the third lane for you to over take them both in?? no?

but when every mofo has pulled into and with it been rush hour its normally madness. Usally in the fast lane but i always always get a lorry pulling out on me when i join the motorway from work.

Your a few steps ahead of me, i once overtook a milk float and a granny on a mobility scooter!!
On topic though, yeah i knew its 56mph, whether or not theyre all restricted accurately or not is another thing, im sure theres a few that go over it.

We are allowed in the 1st 2 lanes and if one lorry is a little quicker than another, do you really expect us to sit behind the one in front and look at the back of it all day?? when we can pull out and take about 2mins to over take it?
So it knocks a few mins off your traveling time? is it worth getting annoyed over?

Mike Cracknell will tell you all about this......
Derestrict the bugger and go on a truck rampage bombing it at 100 down the motorway - could be fun

Trust me i doesnt effect me in any way i dont go home and rant to my family about it. All im saying is they pull out not knowing the size and speed your travel meaning your either have to slam on the ankers or get over into the fast lane if possible. TYhis is my the m62 has tailbacks everyday due to lorry drivers going mental.

Depends what you mean by *big fk off lorries* 7.5 ton's are allowed in the 3rd lane but anything bigger than that isnt, so by all means go nuts at them if they are lol..
Overtaking on hills is a must...lol. last thing you wanna do is slow down on a hill because it can take fkin ages to get back upto speed depending on the weight of the load

Bit of a spam sarnie here but it seems to me that slack arse gits that sit in the middle and outside lanes are the major cause of motorway jams.
Many times I have been driving down the M62/M621 and had to undertake cars sitting in the middle lane doing no more than 50/55mph!
It reall narks me!
Why can't the majority of truckers travel at night anyway?

The speed limit for trucks is 60mph but for some gay reason they limit them to 56mph whats about 90 kmph yeah.
Thats why when there going down hill we let it go upto 60mph then have to hold it on the brakes / exhaust brake
