lo all,
im sure you're all sick of me asking opinions on speakers by now. lol
BUT.. what do you make of these? i currently have standard shitty saxo speakers, and am wanting to upgrade them to something with a little bit more bass.. (i dont want to go to a boot install.. as i need the space)

mate there good speakers,
considering that most head units have an output of 50w rms per channel....
these speakers have a max power of 130 watts which is approx 90w rms
(130 x 0.707 = 91.91)
oh and there 2 way so you will get good frequency response although the pioneer emotion series are well good (freq response 40hz - 30Khz)
these are good value for money buddy....

o btw,
the front door speakers are 13cm and rear on a 3dr saxo are 10cm which mount in the rear side panels......
i would upgrade all four as thats wot im gonna do :P
u also need it to be powered by a good headunit for sound quality

For fucks sake
No headunit has an output of 50w RMS all companys stae 60w x4 or 50w x4 but thats max. The actual RMS is about 18w RMS on a headunit that states 50w x4.
Max figures mean totally jack shit all. Every company uses a diffrent max to rms conversion. I have known amp companys state 5 times the RMS as a max figure.
Theres no need to uprate the rear speakers in a small car at all. Spend more on unprated fronts. Uprating the rears in a Saxo is a waste of time and money.

mate ive looked on a site....
it means RMS when the head unit states it....thank you
Scott

no it doesnt, show us this one all headunits are stated as max as are a lot of speakers as it gives the deception of more power.
Head unit couldnt possibly give that kind of power, to much heat and not enough power could be supplied to it in a normal din form factor.
Also under normal circumstances your formula would be correct but with ICE it goes way out of the window.

agree with dave and scott
your not going to get decent speakers for 20 notes
I take it you dont want to fiork out 90 quid on speakers? (bostons ;))
go to your local halfords for a listen then go to ebay and search ones you want

For the cash matey you are pretty limited to the quality you will be getting but at the end of the day anything is an upgrade on the standard speakers.
I just sold some alpine ones for £12 and i thought they were good speakers. I wouldn't have sold them but i got some comps for free and thought they may be slightly better :)

mate jus buy them, there far better than standard saxo speakers.....
and btw i was checking my rear standard speakers today....there complete crap and YES it will make a diff if you change them cos sum people in this forum recon they know it all....
jus fade your sound to the rear channels and listen to the noise distortion....

Dont listen to the rear speakers. We are not the ones that dont know what they are talking about. YOU DO NOT NEED REAR SPEAKERS.
Get yourself a set off front comps amp them and you are laughing

As above u sit in the front so u want the sounds there components amped is the way forward save up get some hertz or brax they rock expensive but sounds awesome and if you want more base be sure to sound deaden.

having rear speakers wired up just brings the sound stage backwards so if you want to make your cars system sound worse having rears speaker in a saxo is the way foward any way back to the post i installed some of those speakers ages ago distorted pretty bad but sounded a little better than standard speaker but if i was you i would save up for a little longer and get some bostons you will be alot more happyer in the end

All you need really is Front speakers,an amp and sub.
Or if your going for a full out system get 2 amps one for the sub and one for the front speakers

1. Epic bump.
2. You wouldn't need your fli with that.
