As in how r they legal/illegal and wot about insurance etc??? Wot r the gug things and bad things about it?? And wheres a gud place to look??

Nitrous is great for a quick shot of power!!

It's expensive though!! The kits aren't too bad, but bare in mind that a tank of NOS can be consumed in less than 15 minutes if you use it non-stop.

Progressive kits are the best... better for the engine/clutch and save you NOS.

Was thinking about getting a NOS kit, but think it would be a bit silly in my car smileys/smiley9.gif

bad thing bout it is to buy a kit it cost alot,but once its set up it only cost around £5 per pound to refill.

it is illegal for road use the last time i heard and most insurers dont like it but if you tell them its for show they leave you alone

I spoke to the peeps at wizard of oz and its the progressive one which he says he ask the police in his area who know he is using it and they said they no of no rule sayin you cant use this, there no rule sayin u can either therefore they cannot do anything!! Ave bin lookin at the street blaster 100i with a 50bhp increase dont want anymore than than to be honest.

it is legal to have it fitted. Just illegal to use i think. So you can go around with it plumbed in and be ok. I can't see any way in which the police can catch you in the act really and have never heard of someone being caught

probably, but if you tell them its all for show and not actually connected up they may let you away with it, all you have to do is connect one tube and your laughing

BTW, it is legal to use, as long as ur insurance company nos about it and its also legal 2 have in the car as long as u have a small green sticker on the back of the car somewhere sayin that u have a gas in ur car, like if u look at an ambulance that has oxygen tanks, they MUST have that green sticker on the back...
If ur insurance premium goes up 2 much, try out some of the insurers from the back of a Max Power magazine that specialise in mod'd cars, like Adrian Flux, who is recommended by most mod'd car mags, they dont mind u usin and plummin in nos or nethin else

Well, it would b kinda hard 4 the police 2 tell if u had just used it neway...
Cos it doesn't really leave by-products or waste except for nitrogen, which already comes out of a cars engine neway cos the engine doesn't use the nitrogen for nethin except 2 spit it back out of the exhaust after a few seconds or somethin

How come? At the end of the day it is a fuel additive.

It gets added at the point of combustion to make the 'bang' more powerful.

I am not aware of any law that says it is illegal. If it was, it would be picked up at MOT stations....I know a few peeps who have put their car through an MOT with Nitrous installed.

What I have heard that you are not officially allowed to use it on the roads but.. theres about 2.5% chance of being caught lol smileys/smiley16.gif coz eh police would never catch you.. However you are allowed to have it in the car.. Like, here in Britain u can pee in the street, but its on the back wheel of your vehicle, with ur right hand on the vehicle, and also, u can't shoot a Welsh person w/a gun, but u can shoot them w/an arrow only on a Sunday after midnight!!!!! smileys/smiley5.gif
