Hi all

I have worked out a plan for my saxo in regards to modding but im not sure if it is seen as chavy or not so i will give you a list of ideas of what im going to do to saxo and you tell me what you think:

16" Team Dynamics Monza R (powder white)
Lowered 40mm all round
Smoothed boot
Smoothed bonnet
Sngel head lights
Delocked
Removed handles (relocation)
Petrol line relocation (inside door)
Interior Retrim (Cream and Icelandic Grey) (seats, door cards, dash)

Not had any ideas on performance modding as of yet thinking of sensible stuff

i dont want it to be stupid low because in my eyes when its more or less touching the floor your just waiting for something to catch on a speed bump the max i would go is 50mm my idea with the car was going for the smooth look not putting any bodykits on just leaving standard vtr kit and smoothing
i also for got to add to the list that i was colour coding everything

Well sounds good, only reason i say it is i see lots of saxos here who just got lowered and im left thinking, really!? has it?? then i see ones lowered all the way down on their ass and it looks amazing

i no what your saying but im looking for an in the middle dont want its ass dragging on the floor and dont want it looking like its not bin touched what does 60mm look like lowered, the thing is there is a hell of alot of speedbumps round my end so i have to be carefull

sounds good mate you just retrimming the standard interior?

the only thing i wouldnt do is fully smooth the boot i'd just remove the badgeds and smooth over the boot lock and leave the numberplate recess it looks way better

60mm on 16's would be a bit mad.

i'de say 50mm on 40 profile should be fine :)

rest of the plans sound good though mate, who cares if they are seen as chavvy, it's your car so do what you want with it !!!

im thinking of retrimming standard yeah but its on my mind of getting some after market recliners and retrimming them also, as for the boot im trying to make the car just smooth and sleek

easty: if your car is seen as chavy when it comes to selling on you wont get as much as a peep in it because no body wants to look like a chav (that isnt of course) so thats why i keeping it subtle i will keep the forum updated once work has begun but my est is about 3000 - 3500 for all of it to be done

to be fair mate, as soon as you mod a car you won't get it back on the sale no matter what you do to it.. so just go for it :D

106 gti seats are nice but i wana escape the black pit feel inside saxo's thats why i was retrimming but deffo 106 gti seats are a possibility but a bit on expensive side
