in decembers fast car magazine. they test 8 different induction kits on a 2002 vts, an it has all the power readings each one made.this could maybe help to answer the famous what induction kit gives the best performance question.

now you say that the more you look at it,the more fixed it looks as the k&n open filter beat the bmc

To be honest it may be the case. They don't really have a reason to fix it. Maybe on that car it did get a better performance figure. Could have been something to do with fitting.

well think theres 2 enclosed filters bmc and itg and suposidly there the worse

There are alot of things to take into account though i'd think.

Open filters suffer once the engine is up to temp but if the engine is cooler and the car is stationary i can see them getting a better figure than an enclosed, since the enclosed rely more on air blowing into them (IMO)

surely it was on a rolling road too so cold air isnt really going to be gushing into the enclosed's cold air feed?
