i have a problem with...... i have a saxo vts on a 2003 plate ........ect ect ect just so we can help with your diagnosis with out having to waste 5 posts asking what car what make ect ect ect

99% of the time, the questions relate to the Saxo so there's no need to ask what car (make and model) they're reffering to.

Remember that by hovering your cursor over the thread title does reveal "some" of the actual text in the thread.

Since when is 99% text speak? The number isn't used with words e.g. every1.

Anyway... yes it would be a lot better but it's easier to put as little info as possible when making a post. We can't all be perfect. The less information they give, the longer it takes to get an answer :)

This is just a waste of time, you can't expect people to do this. Yes it would be great, BUT new members won't know, people will forget, etc.. etc... etc.... you just have to get over the fact you might have to ask more details. I mean if someones late for work and car wont start they would be in a panic and just post "helpppp" not my car it this reg this engine blahblah. Like I said it would be nice, but it wont happen in all situations

i agree, migt aswell give as muchdetail about the car as possible, helps in the end rather than, like you say, "my car wont start, help!" better if they put, "my car wont start, i have a 02 vts, it doesnt start when cold but runs alright when its warm etc etc"

post 1) so how are you expected to help them if they just put help my car wont start??

post 2) so it could be a spark plug lead

post 3) no its a vts

so thats 3 post when they could have answered it in 1?

In an ideal world... yes.

If rules were enforced, what happens to those who do not put up enough info for others to answer? Yellow carded, etc... I think a lot of it just boils down to common sense and if a member has put up a thread asking for advice and they haven't put up enough info, then they will not get a quick answer.
