Right, i'm thinking of getting a tattoo on my neck/top of back of maybe a cross or something....

Just wondering if you guys had any ideas of what might look nice etc.?

And maybe how much it hurts?! lol

go for something at the top of your arm.. thats one of the best places.. or a popular place for girls is by the lumbar area of the back..

i have one on my lower stomach. i can cover it up or have it on show when i want. i don't think that tattoos on necks look good on lasses, go a little further down, between the shoulder blades or something like that.

it feels almost like a burn when your having it done. i have heard people describe it like having hot glass rubbed on your skin (don't know how they would know what that felt like). ask the place where you go about some numbing cream (ameltop) they put it on and cover it with cling film as it needs to be air tight. if you are having a small tattoo then you can't feel a thing, unless it hits a bone, but if you are having a big one then you may start to feel something as the ameltop wears off.

ask your tattooist to draw the design you want where you want it, that is what we used to do, then at least you can see exactly what it would look like.

I have a large tat on the top of my left arm... it hurts to begin with, but after a while it's just an uncomfortable feeling instead because you get use to the pain..... I was sat in the chair for 4.5 hours and at the end it felt like a layer of skin had been removed, but I was very very happy with the results, so it was worth it.

As for tats on the neck, I don't think they suit girls much TBH.... maybe if it's just below your t-shirt collar line, but anything over it would look a bit poo IMHO.

I'm saving up to get another one done next summer.... I think i've caught the bug now.... I also want more piercings, but because of where I work i can't have any visible ones.

Ive got two......first one was down my leg....didnt really hurt.....second ones were on my wrists....."A" on one and "W" on the other...must admit I really like the ones on my wrist as the are small and look tidy as they are written in Script writing........Will find pics.....after I had mine done a girl I know had one on her wrist aswell...look very nice

My ex had 'in loving memory...' tatooed across the top of her chest after her uncle passed away.

Shes also go stars on the back of her neck, wings on her back, ivy over her shoulders and stars round her wrist.

I would really think twice about getting one on your neck, imo they look dreadfull and can even stop you getting jobs.
I don't mind the odd tat on women, my fave is on the belly, my mates Mrs has one and it looks well sexy.

I have a band around my arm that i got 10 years ago, i still like it but it's nice that it can be hidden away if needed (job interviews n stuff).

The majority of it didn't hurt but when it got to the underside of my arm it hurt like a Mother F**KER!! and i bled like a biatch.

Yeah, it should look Mmmmm... I've just got to try and talk her in to it a bit more, cause when I asked my tattoo artist if they hurt on the foot he said yes, because there isn't much fat there, so it's gonna be mostly in to the bone. I think I'll probably pay for it for her birthday next May.
