Unlucky. Try not to leave valuable things in your car from now on and as I will be, get your lock pins removed.
pinky
16th November 2006, 17:37
de pinning how does this help and is it costly????
vtrchris64
16th November 2006, 17:49
no door pins means a thief can't reach in and unlock your door , and it dosent cost a thing.
There is a guide here on how to do it.

Yeah, but on a 1.1, it'd be a pain. Unless u have central locking.
It'd mean unlocking both doors with the key from the outside. GAY
I learnt the hard way with this mistake. Super careful now!
pinky
16th November 2006, 18:17
it has central locking:D
just took a look at the how to guide looks easy enough once have a new door definately doing that

plusi'm only 3rd party fire and theft so i can't do jack so:(
That covers theft but only if you declared it? Which I'm understanding you didn't (Although when it happened to me, I just told them it came in the car and they offered to replace it. But I sorted it my self)

Doesn't mean it will stop thiefs, I took my pins out and look what happened:
http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e15/digitalsuperstar/My_Car/The_Stages/The_Progress11.jpg
They found NO pins, so:
http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e15/digitalsuperstar/My_Car/The_Stages/The_Progress10.jpg
Ended out me replacing more than if I left my sodding pins in!! :N:
