Thought my fuel consumption was poor!

the last few tanks in my megane have only given me 300 miles each and its a 60 litre tank! when i last filled up i worked it out to be 20mpg from normal town driving!

drove the car today and there is a really strong smell of petrol coming from under the bonnet! lol

had rac out and there is no obvious signs of a leak anywhere. at best my car should only have 30mpg anyway bt ive been driving like a grannie and only getting 20 out of it! think ill put it in for a service next week if i have enough money and get them to have a look at it.

not too sure, but the bloke checked all the fuel lines along the length of the car and they are dry.

worth checking out i suppose. but the smell seems to be coming from the front of the car.
