The alcantra is just a fluffy bit of material isen't it?... So im guessing you treat them the same way you would nomal seats..

I use Autoglym shampoo on the seats/car mats/carpets.. then let it all dry, then i follow it up by using auto glym air freshner on the bits i cleaned. It just acts like febreeze would and makes it smell nice for a week or 2.

alcantara is like suede james so its a bit specilaist, especially since genuine alcantara is £100+ per square metre:shock:

I had to clean some stuff off of the missus 206 gti 180 seats and used a fluffy towel to lightly brush anything off then some cold water on a towel. This was advice follwed from somewhere i googled. I cant say whether it was right or wrong but it worked :)

if you use any product on the seats then make sure you test it in a discrete spot first and wait for a good bit of time before you do the whole seat. it might take a little time before any damage is caused so dont rush it.

Best to be safe than sorry!

yep thats pretty much how to do it, you cant get alcantara too wet or it'll be ruined, i just generally use a mf and warm water and a gentle brush to remove dirt, and this always works :)

I've never done it but yes i've heard of people using a razor to get bobbles off, might wanna try a test patch first though!

I only ever brush alcantara (Meguiars Interior Brush is ideal), as wetting it is a recipe for disaster, as it ruins the fine pile!
