Sndz like a funny question bt wen we tuk it out there wos no front 2 the car!!!!!!! So we undid the engine mounts, droppd it abit turnd it sideways n out it came!!!!!!! Ne help wud b gr8ly appreciated..

you'll need to do it from the bottom. when i did mine i got a trolly under the sump/gearbox, then undid the mounts, then jacked the car up till i could get the engin clear.
I used a length of 4" x 4"(like a fence post) the width of the car, placed it just behind the rear mount for the wishbones and jacked the whole car with a 2 tone jack. the trolly i used was a homemade jobbie, but some thing like a sack barrow should do as you'll need to be able to tip the whole lot back so you can wheel it into posittion and not have to jack the car up quite so far.

basically as super sav said would be a little easier to hire an engine hoist for a day to lift the engine into place (an HSS store would be able to hire you one). You can get it in from the top but its much more difficult especially with the gear box still on it, but with some twisting and tilting with the help of some mates it will go it

Fanx guys, muchly appreciated, as luck wud ave it the engines hangin on a hoist so that cud b handy. Just need 2 get a new jack and get hold of a trolley!!
