ola!!!
right im lookign to shed a few LBS, im not fat (heaven forbid), but just wanna get rid of about 10lbs and tone up a bit u know, I've started jogging, but i hate it, and i've been reading on the net about how interval training can get results faster (the quicker i get rid of it the better) but then other sites say steady exercise is better!!!!!
and obviously i dont eat shit, fish chicken salad vegetables is pretty much the jist of it!!
so my query is, whats anyone elses experience?? which one shall i do?!!!!!

a few exercise will be good

isnt interval trainng also known as fartlek training where you keep changing the pace
from slow to fast bursts etc
if you want to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you take in
how often do you use the gym? speak to westy and he will set you a personal training programme to help you get to where you want

well i havent joined the gym yet, and i know i have to burn off more than i eat- i eat really really well!!

skipping is probley the best way to shed excess fat and tone, ive seen a boxer shed a couple of lbs in minutes with a speed rope just so he could make a weigh-in. Not saying thats common or anything but skipping with max effort is amazing

You can get a decent rope on ebay if you want i'll find one. Very cheap too, couple of quid. skipping will burn fat, tone (abs and legs moreso) also improves balence and makes you lighter on youre feet.

They are very fast.
Its an impossible question (how long before a difference), could be 2 weeks could be 2 months, i think the less you are looking for a difference the more it will hit you in the face when someone says, fucking hell you been going the gym? etc... id say do it every night for 5 mins to start, it will take you a while to get good and efficent at it, google "learn skipping" or "learn jump rope" well worth reading a tutorial to get started

read the General fitness post & apply. the best thing to do is cut out eating rubbish replaced by wholesome nutritous foods but in smaller more regualr amounts and increase your activity levels. reply to your PM soon
