the police been able to ask for your finger prints when they pull you over ?
you can refuse to let them take your prints at the moment, but i dont think it will be long before it becomes law.

I think it's good! If you've done nothing wrong you've nothing to worry about!
I had an incident a while ago when a young lad drove into me. He said he had no insurance so police got called! Still not sure if he told them who he was or if he pretended to be his "brother"

thick its a good idea. will save them alot of time and they may be able to catch more people. and do some proper work. dont see why you would not let them take your prints. unless you have somthing to hide

suppose it increases the likelyhood of recognising fingerprints if your house/car gets done over

suppose it'll help fight crime as they'll soon have thousands more fingerprints on their database so will be able to track people down quicker.
if they make it law you won't have a choice anyway, will only get arrested if you refuse (like breath test) and then have to do it at the station. if you've got nothing dodgy going on then no need to panic

yeah i agree that if you not got anything to hide then why you would not let them take your prints i dont know.
I think it is good if it will help fight crime !
but if they pull you for doing nothing and ask for your prints all the time it will piss me off !

im sure they wont need to ask you everytime? although it could save you producing documents all the time?

Agree with Leckie... If you have nothing to hide then there wont be any problem. I do think it's a good thing as it will find those repeated offending drivers and thus keeping them off the roads.

I won't have a problem with it at all...
It's normally people who have something to hide that'll complain.. :)

Like others have said, if you have nothing to hide then there shouldn't be a problem...

Heard it also, good idea. Only problem is not everyone has had fingerprints taken in the first place, so its only good for known criminals

I object to vaste amounts of data being stored on me. I also object to modern policing. Fat, lazy, worthless racist cunts.

No, because if I'm looking at this the right way which im problem not... it means someone who hasnt been arrested and printed before will still be able to blag a name, as the prints wont show up on the database..

Thats a good point, I am sure they will think of a way to stop it eventually.

i think its a good idea. and as i understand it they wouldnt store your prints, they would just run them against the database.
