just rubbed my eye and half a ripped contact lense fell out... and i think the other half is still in... stings when i press my eye (with eye shut) only in some places, and the place seems to change... as if lense was was moving. cant see it at front... seems to be ontop of eye....

Spoke to opticians and they said just wait til tomorrow and see if it's still hurting! they seem to think that it would have fell out and the chance of it still being in is small!

just thought i'd share this because it's been pissing me off for the last hour trying to get it out

Never had such a problem with contact lenses, how do you rip the lense in half did you poke your eye so hard or what o_o. Strange but seems quite a few others have had it happen here to so don't know really.

I see, I still used mine for work and as such had them for quite a while, by the end of the day my eyes were itchy to the point I used to poke the contact out while scratching my eye, but anyhow never had one rip in half but I get you mean.

Sounds like you're not having much luck mate.

Were you the guy who's car also failed the MOT and it was £500 quid to sort out or have I got you mixed up with someone else?

my mate left his in too long and they got stuck to his eyeball!

he went to hospital and they had to inject his eye with something to get them off. he saud it was the worst thing he has ever had to have done coz obviouslt you cant look away when the needle is coming towards you!

i couldnt stand having to put them in every morning like, so i had to get rid.I was hoping on that laser surgery but you had to be 21,but dont think ill bother now.

Last year I went to the movies and put some contacts in. Got home and went to take out my contact lens. I didn't think it came out so I moved onto my left eye and the contact came out fine.

I then tried taking the contact out of my right eye which was actually already out. I ended up pulling at the layer that protects your eye leaving me in lots of pain.

Contacts are great but can be a pain in the arse if your a little out of it ;)

I did that on a drunken night...thought I dint take my lenses out when I got home when I woke up in the hours of the early morning. I couldn't figure out why they were not coming out and I was getting so frustrated in my drunken state. Then boyf woke up and said what the 'what the hell are you doing poking your eyes out?!' I had already taken them out. I had sore eyes for next few day cos of this drunken stunt!

Hey ho, without them I would be pretty much blind tho!

I wear monthly's.

I usd to have daily contacts but I hated them, they dry up too easily.

I wear my monthlys for 16 hours a day and there comfortable.

Hows your eye feeling at the mo?
