hi.
i was looking at quinn direct for a quote on a saxo vtr 4 a 17 year old and got a quote of £1700 TPFT.
but then i went back and read the vechile requirments and it siad.
"No modifications/adaptations to increase top speed, performance or acceleration".
does this mean u cant do any power mods at all or does it mean the car has to be standard wen the insurance is taken out and when power mods are done the company must be imformed?

(i already looked in the search section and couldnt find anything.)

it means no modifications/adaptations to increase top speed, performance or acceleration.

That means none at all.

Sounds like they don't insure cars with performance enhancing mods.
If in doubt call them

cheers. but it seems that an alot of ppl are insured with them and surely some of them must of tunned the engine.

yes you can have mods but i think you need to phone them to get a real qoute as there's no option on the internet to put them on.

im with quinn and they dont charge for cosmetic mods.

put my K&N induction kit on and phoned them to tell them, they didnt mind as long as it didnt increase the performance, and as its an open filter it doesnt. I asked them about other performance things and they said they need an engineers report and they will add a small charge.

a few things wrong with that :)

Situation, you have been rear ended and your exhaust is snapped, you then somehow went inot the person in front and mashed the front of your engine. How are you going to change things like the manifold, the exhaust, the induction kit.

Just declare it as if you carashed into me and didn't declare it i'd make sure you got everything you could!

dont declare = dont insure

simple as, some bits on my car arent declared but there bits that my insurance company dont mind, engine is standard and if u havent declared mods and crash, if u cnt get the mods off quickly and easily(at side of road) then declare them or dont have them.

i declared lowering and exhaust and now i dont have to worry about them, and it didnt increase that much either.
