does anyone find that having a woman on their insurance brings it down? mine was £870 for 1 yrs ncb, 18yrs old and on a 1.1i. put my gf on it, only just passed her test and 18 too and got £165 back from my insurance! i dont let her drive the car tho lol.

Yeah, my other halfs insurance was reduced by £200 for puttin me on!!

Yeah it does. I put my mum on and it brought it down then put my housemate on and it brought it down a further £20

Just tested this theory out.
Got quote on Money Supermarket for my Furio
On My own Was around £1000 TPFT
Add a female driver, same age, no no-claims. Didnt make any different, policy was still around £1000.
Swapped the drivers around so the femals as the policy holder and as expected the policy went down to about £900 TPFT. I think it will only make a great deal of difference if the female driver is a lot older than you.
