YEh that be an astra I believe. The only difference I can see is that there is no aircon button, I would have thought if it didn't have aircon then the button would just be blank.

PM 'Yorkie'. He has the same headunit.

Just wondering, but what model of Astra is that?

mehmeh

Astra G (mk4) 1998 - 2004

I've just noticed; those two buttons I was referring to earlier are two large ones rather than three smaller ones. So it is definately the above.

Yup its a Mk 4 :)

Mehmeh knows his stuff lol

What engine is it?

From experience I highly recommend the veccy c mod and derestricting the airbox ;) (astra-sport.co.uk for more info).

It's a 1.4 16v as im only 17.

Im all up for mods :D

Still, not bad for your first car :) , odd forum to be on though.
Don't put a induction kit on as you'll actually lose performance, oh and look like a pr*ck ;) . Those mods with a k&n panel filter are meant to be the best, I personally stuck with the standard as it's meant to be better at filtering.

Lol, I was gonna get a saxo in the first place but changed my mind, im not going to get an induction kit anyway :D

Ive been posting on this forum because I seem to get better responces

I want a new back box as my one is just standard and a bit dented. Know any good makes?

mehmeh

Irmscher ;) they do the decent standard vauxhall stuff.

mehmeh

Ah yes definately. Whack a post up on astrasport and see what they say. It's nice kit and all of it fits straight on without trouble.

I just looked on ebay, they look well expensive, like 250 quid for a backbox... isnt that LOADS, there are other ones like Sportex, are they any good??

mehmeh
16th December 2006, 22:31
Yeh they are not cheap, I guess it's because of convenience. I'm sure there are loads of other decent brands out there but I cannot help beyond that, sorry.
