Yet again another problem...

Last night, car was running fine... parked in the pub car park for about 50 mins... Press the button on the alarm fob, it bleeped once, with no lights flashing... thought, ooo thats odd as it usually bleeps twices and flashes...
anywho, went to get in the car, was still locked, pressed the button again as i thought i may have locked it, no bleep or anything.
Unlocked the door using the key, no alarm went off and none of the other doors were unlocked... ALL of the electrics had gone!

How the hell can a battery go flat in about 50mins?

I know someone thats an autoelectrician, but he isnt in work until tomorrow.

He can fit me a viper alarm with all the works besides remote start, for £300

Havent a clue. Usually if the batter is on its way out there are signs like lower light brightness etc

yeh, but its finding where the power is going from... my personal opinion is that the alarm is doing something to it. It only happens when i use the alarm fob

i would get ur mate who is an auto electrician to check the battery first make sure its still fine. check the alternators charging properly. check the drain on the battery which will tell u if something is sucking the life out of ur battery when u leave it parked up. hopefully that should show up a fault.

good luck. let us know the outcome

if u suspect it to be the alarm get ur mate to disconect the power supply to the alarm and see what happens
