Wont Insure VTS

why wont anywhere insure me for a VTS.

wanted to see how much it would be to insure a VTS next year, tried a few internet companies and they all say sorry we cannot provide you with a quote please call 0800 EXPENSIVE ?

i'll be 19, with 2 yncb (hopefully) yet they wont give me a qoute ?

yeah thats the reason i couldn't get internet quotes, it usaually says unable to quote due to the fact your under21, then it says please call..................

I'm 20 and iv been insured on 2 mk2 VTS with:
Admiral - £800 tpft 0ncb.
Bell - £950 fully comp 0ncb 1 claim.

I knew a guy who had a VTS at 19 too, also i think theres a lad on here in that boat.

19 and 2ncb sounds pretty safe to me :)

Try Quinn Direct. Im 21, just passed and they've been giving from quotes on VTRs, VTS' and even turbo'd cars like RSTs and Starlet GTs...I got £900 on a VTR if I remember right. I know I'm a bit older than you but still pretty good I think.

quinn wont qoute me, neither would direct line or tesco (you do have to be 21 with them tho, even for a VTR i think)

cheapest was 2600 tho... lol but at least they qouted me.... :) dont think i'll be getting one tho... prob stick with the VTR, going to start looking for one in a few months.

is it worth going 3rd party bearing in mind they'll be a little modding happenning....

i.e, lowering, possible alloys, full exhaust system!

I got quoted £2500 from Quinn a while back in my own name for a vts!! Plus im only 17 and ive just passed!! I kno im a girl and I live in N.Ireland but u shud still get quoted! Aparently its dearer in N.Ireland than England but i dunno. Try Quinn anyway!

u live in manchester like me, u probally live in an insurance refer area, which means u get raped on anything!

i was getting quotes of 4k for a furio when i just passed :S

itll be ya postcode mate as manchester has one of the highest around, which is shit!

no manchester is a right pain in the arse :evil: place to live when it comes to insurance they ask for you to place you nuts on the table then they bring a sledge hammer on top of them!!!!!!!!:fcuk: :fcuk:

mmm im 18 years old... no no claims... but ive had my licence a year... on a mark 2 vts... i pay 1200 a year... but i pay monthly so get credit charges... which means i pay £169 a month :(

my previous insurer wouldnt touch me on a vtr till i was 21, cancelled my policy with my years NCB went to moneysupermarket.com and i got a quote for 957 tpf&t so shop around

On quinn often you have to give car reg number before they will quote you!! some sites should quote you though... they offered to insure me on lotus elise when i was like 18/19 for 3 grand third party though lol
