 dont say it scott, dan etc..read in the 6x9 bit lol. ..after a rather embarasing rant i went on.. anyway im now looking for a new setup. i understand that the vibe subs are decent? i was looking at the 12" sub, what decent components would go with this, i had at look at the DLS R6A i think someone mentioned but for the price i wasn't very impressed with 80W rms? also what amplifiers would go with them? is the vibe 12" active sub..box..etc able to run the components aswell as the sub? one more thing, for now id be only looking at the 1 sub so where is the best place to mount in the boot..the middle? muchos:P

pretty sure the Active sub amp will only power the Vibe sub, Vibe are a pretty decent set up yes, but if your wanting something top dog, i suggest, RE Audio or JL Audio for a sub, though they won't come cheap when you need an amp to power them.
Sub position, best to have it facing the boot due to longer distance it travels the louder it is or something like that, can't remember now :P
Thats how mine is positioned.

ill proably go for the 12" blackair sub as ive heard good things and thats plenty of bass for me, i was looking at the boston and phoenix components that predator said on one of the pages would they work well with vibe? and what sort of amp would i need? also i noticed he had to do a custom door build to fit his 16cm speakers so is the maximum for the standard 13cm? cheers

my dls r6as have happily ran 150wrms through them for a year and a half:P Good brands tend to state far lower than they can actually handle, poorer brands throw large numbers on because it sells.

Just cause a speaker can handle more power does not make it better quality. You can not go wrong with either the Boston S50s or the DLS R5
