Hey,

I have a question. i have fitted a sony head unit to my car and my gf's also her sisters. In all 3 cases they were different models, and in all 3 cases the memory doesnt work on them.

I checked the 12v permanent live from the battery and it is fully working on all 3 cars. In my saxo it wont even hold when you turn it off and remove the key, re-insert and turn on. But in the other 2 cars (Mini + Corsa) the memory is held doing the same, but if the key is removed and say return to the car in 2 hours it wont hold.

Is there some kind of memory thing sony's need activating? I went through the manuals and found nothing, the closest was saving radio stations in hte memory which i did but again they were simply lost.

Any help appreciated..

Rich

Cheers for that. Hoping this will work, cant try yet as im at college ut will as soon as i get home. One problem though my lead came with open ends and i wired it up as per the diagram in my manual, but oh well perhaps i made a slight boo boo :)

I take it the corsa's have the same problem, or i hope they do :)

yeah normally in vauxhalls the power wires need swapped, then in the mk2 saxo they swapped the power leads, mk1s were straight ISO
