could ne one help me, i want to fit 17ins and lower 40mm all round, i need to know how much work will be involved to arches? and wot differences if ne too the drive of my car

17ins would make the car accelerate alot slower however once at top speed the max speed would be higher.

40mm drop will inprove the handling of the car.

Think u will need to take the angle grinder to some parts of the archs to get 17ins on... Scott will be able to tell u more when he comes on a bit later/

i just had 17s on mine they bin on for a week now barrett is right the acceleration isn't as quick but the loss is worth it they look mint.
i had mine done at r-tec took them all day rolling nad cuttin bits off the arches had it lowered by 30 mm at the front an 40 at the back handles better looks better and doesn't scrap,go for it!!

rear bumper bracket needs chopped and liners out may also need to cut back more off the rear of the arch

at the front liners need to come out and various lips need hammering cutting, you wont get full lock either unless you go medievil on the arches with your largest hammer smileys/smiley15.gif

the lowering and the arches cost mejust shy of £500 pounds well worth it though no scraping even with passengers in the back! looks the biz

the money was for the arches front springs and adjusting the torsion bar,no shocks
