hey there, here is the setup i think im planning on going for: components - Boston Acoustics S50, sub - RE Audio RE12 v2, amp - Alpine: MRP-F250. what do you think? i was recommended RE for the sub but im still not sure because there's a vibe, kenwood and boston one for the same sort of price and they all have better RMS ratings? i know it would be hard to power say 1200w sub with s50 components but isnt 175RMS a bit low? any other good quality setups for similar or slightly more prices? let me know. cheers

if i remember right you can get the bostons in a couple of sizes? if not you will have to get spacers or whatever they are called from motorworld. or be adventurous and do fiberglass moulds :)

Why dont you make the box yourself mate. This means you will get the correct size aswell. Get bigger speakers upfront aswell mate. Do fiberglass door pods mate.

If you are prepared to make mdf adaptors or possibly doorpods then go for 6.5" as they produce much better midbass.
Oh and RMS rating isn't everything, you've made the right choice by going for the RE out of those :)
