who are you with?
when i had my insurance with Norwich Union it went up by 10%.
with elephant it wont go up but they are not covered if they get stolen
with NIG who i am with at the minute it cost me and extra £12
just give them a ring and tell them that you are thinking about putting alloys on and you would like a quote on how much extra they would charge and then make you decision if its worth it. however, if you do happen to have a smash then they could not pay you out as you hav'nt declared a modification

Agreed with above. if ur going to buy them declare them. its worth it in the long run.
quinn direct didnt charge me any extra when i had my 17s on.
just give them a ring is your best bet

im with NIG and alloys are at no extra cost as long as i have locking nuts but not covered in the event of theft, (the wheels, or if the car is stolen i cant claim extra for the wheels if you get me)

i know how much they will pay out if you have an accident.
Best to declare them, i doubt if it will cause much fuss!
