Hi, im after a saxo for me second car, moving on from the red shed i got. I decided on a saxo but dont know what models/year/etc are the best for modding, i understand most of the kits around are made for VTR/VTS??? Any advice would be fantastic. Cheers. Jon</font> smileys/smiley4.gif

Most kits are made for the VTR/S models but also the 1.4 engine'd Furio. If you're on a budget the Furio is a great compromise as it has the same body as the VTR/S but a lot cheaper insurance.
If you could afford it then the VTR would be good as it has more power and can be tnued to gain repsectable power. As can the VTS obviously but has a much higher insurance group.
If you have to go with a 1.1 like i did then you can get the skirts and arch kit either new or from a scrappy and then any bodykits for a VTR will fit perfectly.

yeah i agree. But is the only choice i had. Don't wanna part with my baby now so i am saving for a VTS conversion. Probably have to wait 18 months till i'm 21 for insurance but mean time i can get the car looking sweet.
It's not too much hassle getting the arches as you can get the lot for about 200 pound from a scrappy and if you find it in the right colour then it's just a case of getting it fitted, then, the world is your oyster!!

i would also go for the furio , cheap tax / insurance and looks like vtr/vts , the only thing i would say is that the interior is a bit naff , like different coloured seat beats , but apart from that smileys/smiley20.gif

Hi Jon, definately depends on your age..no claims etc but if you can manage the insurance..well, it's got to be the VTS! I love mine!
