Yes, they are well suited to each other. The sub could take a little more power but I wouldn't go spending major Łash for the sake of a few watts.
I like the new JBL amps, I hadn't seen those before.

Looking good. What are you doing for an enclosure, is that it at the bottom of the pile? If you do use a prefab one then I highly recommend running a bead of gripfill or similar around the inside edges of the box, to seal it up properly.

Any headunit that has some RCA preouts can be used with an ap to power a sub. Wire some amps / with other equipment you can power a amp from the speaker outputs of a headunit as well although it's not as good quality.
