This kinda ties in with my other thread but specifically need to know what actually controls the tickover on my VTR 2000?

It has started to tickover at 1200rpm all the time as if it were on choke or something and i want to know why.

Cabt be to many things that can be at fault, is there an idle control valve or something like that? on my old mondeo this used to be a problem and i used to just clean it with some carb spray and then it would be ok.

any ideas?

I'm not 100% sure, so it's probably best to check a Haynes Manual if you have one.

dont have a haynes - anyone else have one ot can tell me where it is?

I have repalced the stepper motor and its made no difference at all

it still ticks over as if it is on choke (around 1200rpm)

common guys really need to get this sorted
