Was it just a case of heating them up and taking them apart, i've been meaning to try something for ages :)

Mine are plastic so i had to prise them apart little bit by bit. That was the pain bit. Then sand all the crome down which was also a pain. Then four coats off primer sanding inbetween then four coats off matt black paint. Then i resealed them with a strong silcone.

Not hard to get out the car if thats what You mean. I just jacked it up and its 3 10mm bolts holding them in. Opening the fog light itself is a pain in the rear man. The glue in mine didnt want to heat up.
Cheers for all the comments guys.
