today at work i was in this blokes house installing his new plasma, and he brings out a Ps3 all boxed and asks if i would set it up!

he had just brought it from america and also brought Fight Night Round 3. what a game! :fcuk: the graphics are unbelieveable! the best console ever! so much better than the xbox 360,
i gave him a double player on it, was there for about an hour playing it!

ive now decided to get one! anyone else orderd one?

A shop at the metro centre, Gateshead has one in the window, not for sale as import. Seen it running a basket ball demo, mint graphics. Sony will sell them as soon as they hit the shops in march. Aswell as a games console, will be a very cheap blu-ray player :detective: :xmas_cool:

I know someone that can get PS3's for about £200 i think, before they come out in march. Not dodgy stuff either, straight from Sony.
Thinking about getting a few and selling them on eBay at a small profit :P

Gamespot.com did a comparison recently and said...

We expected the PlayStation 3 to ship with several games that first appeared on the Xbox 360, similar to how the Xbox 360 had a lot of Xbox ports at launch. And the PS3 did indeed arrive with a good number of games that originally shipped for the Xbox 360. This gave us the perfect opportunity to compare the graphics on both systems with several cross-platform games. You'd think that the PS3 versions would be exactly the same or slightly superior to the Xbox 360 versions, since many of these games appeared on the 360 months ago, but it seems like developers didn't use the extra time to polish up the graphics for the PS3. We found that the Xbox 360 actually had better graphics in the majority of the games we compared.

Know someone who goes over to Hong Kong alot and hopefully gunna get the new Canon EOS 400D, depnding on how much cheaper it is. Dont think the warranty would be valid if i brought it back here, would it?
Obviously get insurance on it tho.

A mate works for a promotions company and they are getting loads just to sell them off dirt cheap, hardly think it needs promoting though. Be alright if i can get them, he did say he could get them before xmas but that didnt happen :@

exactly they are both the same people should just stop talkn poo n pointless discussions on which console is better they are basically identical both got there own games the other doesnt have both got the same graphics yet sony took extra year and let u down for a year just to b on parr with xbox i know what id do with my well earned money if i didnt have either yet! pretty simple to me,

hmmmm buy a brand new saxo from dealer A for £4k with a nice somfy gearstick
oerrrr buy a brand new saxo from dealer B with a slightly different gear stick for £8k

ive seen a lot of reviews and each one give a differnt verdict some say that the playstation 3 is the best other the 360 i think it is all a matter of taste. but to be fair the price differance sways it for me.

sooo true. I'm glad im not the only one.

With whatever furiomike was on about... 360 has been out a year and the game developers have had sufficient time to optimise the code to improve the graphics. PS3 just out (in some places) and the game developers have not had as much time to optimise the code for the console.

Give it a year.

Tbh I can't see the ps3 being THAT much better than the 360 in terms of graphics - can they actually get much better? I much prefer the controllers of the playstations to the xboxs though, I assume the ps3 controllers are pretty similar?

Talking about importing stuff....can i do a little thread hijacking and ask a question? If I bought a Wii from America, would it work over here? As the mains power is different over there (110v) etc...? Cheers!

i saw a ps3 yesterday and it did look good. some kids where playing ridge racer and the grapics looked good. not better than pgr though. the controllers are basicly the same as ps2

got to agree there who cares how good the graphics are addictive gameplay and a decent sized game that'll take abit of skill to complete is where its at

thing is though... they want a 8-12 year lifespan from the ps3, so it needs to be good. where as 4 or 5 years from the 360 is enough. (and its already 1 year into that)
