I have the N73 and I found first couple of weeks it was the shit.......but now I want rid in all honesty. It keeps freezing and it takes like 15mins to send a text message through. Camera is quality though.

But theres no new phones that I want to upgrade to yet so it will be sticking around for a while yet

It says sending text message for like 15mins sometimes and you cant do nothing to get rid of it.

Ive got an N73, not had any bother with it so far. I dont find it especialy slow although that might be cos Im comparing it to my old N70 which was patheticaly slow at times.....

EDIT: I just ran the software updater from the site mick2404 linked. The phone seems to be running faster now.... Cheers mick...

I picked up a Nokia N73 as a free upgrade this morning. Just turned it on and downloaded all contacts to it, etc.

After reading a few complaints in this thread, Ive just installed the latest Nokia software.

I'll let you know how I get on with this...

As a general rule though, all modern 'fancy' phones crash all of the time. My old phone constantly tells me its out of memory and cannot receive messages, etc... but ive deleted everything possible from the memories loads of times.

Ive not used the N73 yet, but seems well spec'd. I was considering the k800i... but ive had bad dealings with Sony Ericsson in the past :P

I wish I had got the Nokia N73, as the 6280 is a pile of shit.

I think Mike has the N73 too.

My old one is the 6280 :P

Lasted me well... until the memory started going chips and failed to receive calls and texts.

Used to get suspicious if id not had a call or text at the end of the day... reboot phone then the texts and voicemails used to start piling in! arse :P

I think it's the 6280 anyway, the slide one yeah? It doesn't actually state on the phone what it is.

The things I hate about are...battery lasts about 2 days, crashes sometimes, duplicates numbers in phonebooks and I don't receive texts the odd time.

Simo

probably is the 6280, as i never know for sure as its not stamped on the body as you say :P

Not had duplicated entries.. as long as you only have phone OR sim memory active. Battery lasts ages for me...

I just have the phone memory active, but every now and then it will use both.

Battery is useless for me, I have got to the point now where it gets charged everyday so it doesn't run out.

I'm holding out for the Nokia N95, 5mega pixel camera (Carl zeiss lens), 3G, Sat nav, 2.6" screen huge memory, huge ram etc etc
Going to very buggy at first, but once the new firmware update is out it should sort everything! :D

that n95 looks like a class phone. i remember seeing it on www.gsmarena.com a couple of months ago.

I have had the N73 for about a month now and its been ok so far, not wanting to tempt fait though !! One of my complaints is that the keys are way to small and its not like i have huge fingers either !! I think this is a problem with most makes of phone now as the size of the key's dictate the size of the phone and they are trying to get them as small as possible.
I am also finding that texting is quite slow but just downloaded that new programe so i will see if that help's.
I must say i am a big fan of the camera, the picture quality is amazing for a phone and it is so easy to use. Hooking the phone up to a PC is also very simple and straight forward and transfering files is an easy task for anyone who is not to technical with computers. All in all its been ok so far apart from a glitch yesterday with the connection.
On a side note i also owned a 6280 which has been mentioned here. It was a poor phone in my oppinion, the camera ended up failing and the battery was totally crap. The 6280 ended up being thrown up the wall in one of my more light hearted moments  :d and i was not to sorry to see it go. I was pretty impressed though, because it still worked afterwards even though it was in bits and the screen was cracked :d .
