If your mate was to kick a bouncer though
i know its wrong to sterotype people but 'most' bouncers dont want any trouble and wearing stone island etc gives the image of the football hooligan. you may not be one but if someone is looking for a ruck and they see your stone island etc, be ready for a kicking.
They just want a trouble free night, who can blame them
Luke
24th December 2006, 14:18
It's just really stupid how they look at things sometimes and because they have this 'power' - I have been refused from Clubs for wearing a Striped jumper before.

In town, you gotta wear a shirt on the weekends to get into any club.
no rockport or timberlands (boots/shoes) allowed.
same with the branded clothes, i got refused for wearing a prada shirt.

down here most places ban Hackett, Burberry, Stone Island, Aquascutum (however you spell it) and most brands associated with hooliganism..
i can understand not letting in some pikey with a really fake burberry hat.. but you can get some proper nice stuff those brands make..

Like i said in my recent thread about 'Chavs' a friend jokingly refered to me as being a 'Chav' because i happen to own a couple of Fred Perry and Henri Lloyd striped polo shirts. I wear them quite regularly when i go into Wolverhampton drinking on a weekend and i havent had any problems off any of the bouncers so far. The dress code doesnt seem to be that strict and they tend to frown upon sports wear more than anything eg: trainers, football shirts and certain brands such as Burberry.

if you're wearing a SPORTS brand to go out on the town in then you should be banned :)
